Best Car Insurance Companies of 2022

Best Car Insurance Companies of 2022

Not all auto insurance companies are created equal. We surveyed over 12,000 drivers to learn more about their auto insurance experience, focusing on key areas such as customer service, claims handling, and customer loyalty. Using this data, we evaluated the best car insurance companies of 2022 to help you find the best ones.

What is the best car insurance company?

According to our data for 2022, the best auto insurance company is USAA, but their insurance products are only available to members of the military community. If this doesn't apply to you, the next best option is State Farm, which ranks second in our analysis.

To determine the best auto insurers for 2022, we analyzed pricing data as well as feedback from policyholders, paying particular attention to customer service, claim processing, customer loyalty, and policy renewal. We also asked survey participants how likely they were to recommend a driver's current insurance company to shop for a new policy.

If you are looking for auto insurance, this list can help you compare insurance companies based on the factors that interest you most. Although USAA and State Farm lead the pack, you may find a better fit with one of the other eight companies in our ranking. As such, it is a good idea to compare several insurance companies and their rates before purchasing or renewing your polic

USAA Insurance

USAA is the best insurance agency in our ratings. As shown in our 2022 study, USAA customers report the most significant level of consumer loyalty and are likely to recharge their strategies and describe USAA to different drivers. Additionally, USAA has the lowest rates in our review, outperforming the general public by 30%.

USAA insurance items, including auto, mortgage holders, and renter contracts, are simply accessible to individuals from the Tactical Local. Thus, not all drivers will qualify for inclusion through this backup plan.

State Farm Insurance

State Farm Insurance comes in second on our exam, getting better than expected results in every high school class. Plus, State Farm has serious rates, coming in third in our ranking of the cheapest car insurance companies for 2022. Its strong points and low expenses make it the best backup plan for drivers who are not eligible to participate in USAA.

Farmers Insurance

Farmers Insurance get strong scores in customer support and attention to claims, helping them take third place this year. Additionally, it confirms third place in two of our offering categories, Customer Service and Claims Processing, and has better-than-expected results in our customer loyalty ratings and more likely in our recommended ratings. However, Farmershave higher-than-normal and lower-than-normal scores in the category of most likely to renew.

Nationwide Insurance

Nationwide Insurance has risen twice since our 2021 analysis, to take third place. Nationwide has the second highest score for customer loyalty, the most likely to be recommended alternatives, and above average scores in each of the other subcategories. Nationwide also has lower-than-average rates for some drivers, especially those with a good driving record or poor credit.

Geico Insurance

Geico Insurance was ranked No. 3 last year and barely made it into that equivalent spot in our 2022 exam. Its placement in this year's rating is likely the result of higher-than-normal customer support scores. Geico has Ordinary scores in other major categories, including customer loyalty and most potential for renewal. Its grading handling has fallen somewhat below optimal, however, Geico's pricing, which is the second lowest in our review, may make it an exceptional choice for drivers looking for a reasonable inclusion

Allstate Insurance

Allstate Insurance has climbed three places this year, moving from ninth to sixth place. And her scores were somewhat less than ideal for the greater part of our sub-rankings, however, that didn't stop her from finishing fourth in our position. A subcategory is likely to be recommended. In contrast to the various backup plans in our check, Allstate rates are probably the highest, yet some drivers, similar to those with a speed violation, may view Allstate rates as a bit harsh.

Travelers Insurance

Travelers Insurance Similarly had some vertical development this year, climbing two points and tying for sixth place. Customer support score for travelers under seven different backup plans in our review, yet it ranked first in our claims processing sub-ranking and third in the rating most likely to renew. Travelers also get a better-than-expected result for recreating the strategy and offer fees that are usually lower than the general rate for the audience.

Progressive Insurance

Progressive Insurance takes eighth place in our examination. On the whole, customers are mostly happy with no effort to open up a strategy, however, progressive places in the back in our rankings best for customer loyalty and has less than perfect scores on each other in our overall offering. Moderate customers also reported being more averse to recharging their approach or prescribing a safety net provider to different drivers. Whatever the case, people with DUI may have the option of opening backup funds with Progressive. Its rates for these drivers are among the lowest in our review.

AAA Insurance

AAA Insurance is new to our ranking of the best auto insurance companies, and is tied with Progressive for eighth place. His grades are suboptimal in every class we studied. It is, however, ranked sixth in Most Likely to Renew, Subtract, and Hit Allstate, Farmers, Progressive, and American Family. AAA also has the higher regular overhead in our review, however drivers considering AAA should get a statement to decide if their single price is more aggressive.

American Family Insurance

American Family Insurance dropped four places this year and 10 places on our exam. Its score is the lowest in most of the sub-ratings, however, American Family scores somewhat higher than Progressive in the Best for Customer Loyalty category. Despite the lower scores, American Family does offer serious rates to some drivers, especially young drivers, drivers with unfortunate recognition, and drivers who have had an unfortunate accident or a DUI on their record.
